Google Maps Street View कैसे Use करें?
Google Street Maps यानी Google Maps में Street View use करना बेहद आसान है — desktop और mobile दोनों पर process थोड़ी अलग है।
Desktop पर
Step 1: Google Maps खोलें
Browser में maps.google.com open करें। Search bar में जो location देखनी हो उसे type करें।
Step 2: Orange Pegman ढूंढें
Map के bottom-right corner में एक orange stick figure (pegman) दिखेगा — यही Street View का icon है।
Step 3: Pegman को Road पर Drag करें
Pegman drag करते ही map पर blue lines दिखेंगी — वहाँ Street View available है। किसी blue line पर drop करें।
Step 4: 360-Degree में Explore करें
Mouse से click और drag करके 360-degree में देखें। Screen पर arrows से आगे-पीछे move करें।
Mobile पर (Android और iPhone)
Step 1: Google Maps App खोलें
Android या iOS पर Google Maps app open करें और location search करें। Google Maps Street View iPhone और Android दोनों पर same तरीके से काम करता है।

Map पर उस location को tap करें। नीचे एक info card open होगा।

💡 Tip: अगर किसी area में blue lines नहीं दिखतीं, तो वहाँ Street View available नहीं है। Google Maps में Street View image के नीचे capture date भी दिखती है — इससे पता चलता है कि photo कब ली गई थी।
Google Earth Street View — Maps से कैसे अलग है?
Google Earth Street View और Google Maps Street View same imagery use करते हैं, लेकिन experience अलग है। Google Earth में satellite view, 3D terrain और street-level view तीनों एक साथ मिलते हैं — जो Maps से ज्यादा immersive है।
Google Earth में Street View कैसे Use करें?
Step 1: Google Earth Open करें
Browser में earth.google.com/web open करें। Mobile के लिए Google Earth app available है।
Step 2: Location Search करें
Left panel के search bar में location type करें। Google Earth उस location पर zoom करेगा।
Step 3: Street View Activate करें
Map पर right-click करें और “Drop Pegman Here” select करें — Street View activate हो जाएगा।

Update Frequency by Area Type
Metro Cities (दिल्ली, मुंबई, बेंगलुरु आदि): इन areas में imagery generally हर 1-2 साल में update होती है। High traffic और high-demand zones को priority मिलती है।
Tier 2-3 Cities: यहाँ update cycle थोड़ी longer है — आमतौर पर 2-4 साल। पर actively expand हो रहे cities में faster update भी होती है।
Highways और Rural Areas: इनमें 3-5 साल या उससे ज्यादा भी हो सकता है। कुछ areas में अभी पहली imagery भी नहीं आई।
Capture Date कैसे Check करें?
Step 1: Street View में जाएं
किसी भी location का Street View open करें — Maps या Earth में।
Step 2: नीचे देखें
Screen के bottom-left में एक date दिखेगी — जैसे “Nov 2023″। यही उस photo की capture date है।
Step 3: Historical Imagery देखें
Date के पास एक clock icon होता है — उस पर click करके उसी location की पुरानी imagery भी compare कर सकते हैं।
New Imagery Request करें: अगर आपके area की Street View बहुत पुरानी है, तो Google Maps में “Send Feedback → Request new Street View imagery” option से request submit की जा सकती है।
Google Earth Satellite View
Satellite View, पृथ्वी को ऊपर से देखता है — यानी Google Earth Aerial View जो satellite की नज़र से किसी भी location की overhead imagery दिखाता है। यह high-resolution imagery commercial satellites से ली जाती है। Google Maps और Google Earth दोनों में same satellite data use होता है — लेकिन Google Earth Maps Satellite View में zoom level और 3D capability ज्यादा advanced है।

Street View Coverage in India — कहाँ-कहाँ है?
India में Street View की journey interesting रही है। 2011 में launch हुआ, security concerns से suspend हुआ, और 2022 में officially relaunch हुआ — Indian company Genesys International के साथ partnership में।
अच्छी Coverage वाले Areas
Metro Cities: दिल्ली, मुंबई, बेंगलुरु, हैदराबाद, पुणे, चेन्नई, कोलकाता — इन सभी में extensive street-level coverage है। Major roads के साथ-साथ lanes और bylanes भी cover हैं।

Street View App — सच क्या है?
Google ने अपना standalone Street View app March 2023 में officially बंद कर दिया। चाहे Street View App search करें या StreetView App — दोनों का जवाब एक ही है: यह functionality अब पूरी तरह Google Maps app में integrated है — Android और iOS दोनों पर।
